The 2026 MotoGP season features 22 races across five continents, running from February 27 to November 29. The championship is currently underway with three rounds already completed and 19 races remaining on the calendar.

Hungary and Brazil are notable new additions this season, while fan favourite circuits like Mugello, Silverstone, Assen, and Phillip Island return. The Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez on April 24 to 26 is the next race on the schedule as the season heads into a packed European swing featuring eight consecutive races from April through July.

Each race weekend follows a three day format with free practice on Friday, qualifying and Tissot Sprint on Saturday, and the main Grand Prix on Sunday.

How Does the MotoGP 2026 Points System Work?

MotoGP awards points to the top 15 finishers in the main Sunday Grand Prix and the top 9 in Saturday’s Tissot Sprint race. The combined points from both races determine the championship standings.
